Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that
TASK JV, a joint venture between its recent acquisition Sinclair
Knight Merz (SKM) and Thiess, signed an alliance contract with
Water Corporation of Western Australia to design, construct and
commission the East Rockingham Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)

project, which is being designed to meet future demand in Perth’s
growing south-west corridor. The site of the East Rockingham WWTP
is in an industrial area with an environmental buffer zone, and
construction is expected to be completed by December 2015.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Executive Vice President
Santo Rizzuto stated, “We are delighted to receive this contract.
The TASK JV combines Thiess’ construction, mechanical, electrical
and instrumentation experience with our industry leading wastewater
treatment design and commissioning capability. We look forward to
working closely with Water Corporation to help them meet their
goals for the East Rockingham WWTP.”
Sinclair Knight Merz recently completed a merger transaction and
is now part of Jacobs, one of the world’s largest and most diverse
providers of technical professional and construction services.
