Jacobs on Team Selected for Indiana Bridge Project

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it
is the lead design sub-consultant for the Walsh Construction
Company VINCI Construction Grands Projets joint venture. The Walsh
VINCI Construction joint venture is the design-build team for WVB
East End Partners, who have been selected by the Indiana Finance
Authority (IFA) to deliver the East End Crossing Project.
Officials did not disclose the contract value; however noted
that under the terms of the sub-consulting agreement, Jacobs is
responsible for the design of a signature cable-stayed bridge, a
major tunnel and highway interchanges. The work is part of the Ohio
River Bridges Project, East End Crossing, one of the largest
transportation improvements in the nation.
The IFA is responsible for the procurement of the East End
Crossing, and has recently signed a public-private partnership
agreement with WVB East End Partners. WVB East End Partners is a
consortium that includes Walsh Investors LLC, VINCI Concessions
Investment USA., and Bilfinger Project Investments.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is responsible for the
Downtown Crossing, another Ohio River Bridge project which Jacobs
is also designing under a separate subcontract with Walsh
Construction Co.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Kevin
