PASADENA, Calif., May 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering
Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it received an award
from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to provide
construction management services for the renovation of the historic
Federal Building at 50 United Nations Plaza (50 UNP) in
San Francisco, Calif.
The Federal Building at 50 UNP, which was designed by prominent
local architect Arthur Brown, Jr.
and completed in 1936, has not had a major renovation in its
75-year lifetime. This $122M
renovation project is funded under the American Recovery and

constraints in addition to increased reporting requirements. This
project will convert the 350,213 GSF building into a high
performance green building and is scheduled to be completed in
2013.
The historic building is listed on the National Register of
Historic Places and is a contributing building to the San Francisco
Civic Center National Historic Landmark District.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President,
Tom McDuffie, stated, "Jacobs has
enjoyed a 40-year working relationship with the GSA. We are proud
to continue that relationship in supporting the restoration of a
great San Francisco landmark."
Jacobs is one of the world's largest and most diverse providers
of technical, professional, and construction services.
