Eni SpA said Wednesday that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is closing its pending investigation of the company, including the one into the OPL 245 transaction in Nigeria and activities in Congo.

The Italian oil major said that, separately from the previously agreed Algeria settlement, the SEC informed it's not recommending further enforcement action.
