Mr. Humphries is currently the President and CEO of Uroplasty, Inc, a medical device company focusing on urology, urogynecology, colon and rectal products. He is a past President and CEO of American Medical Systems, Inc., a company specializing in implantable technologies for urology conditions and Optical Sensors Incorporated a pioneer in arterial blood gas technology. Mr. Humphries has had considerable experience building high growth, high tech businesses through internal growth and aggressive merger and acquisition strategies. He has engineered successful financial transactions including venture capital funding, IPO's, and management buyouts. His background also encompasses broad governance experience, serving on numerous outside boards.
