Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA said on Monday that all those that lead the bank around the world have decided to give up their variable remuneration for 2020 given the continuing coronavirus pandemic.

The Spanish lender's Chairman Carlos Torres Vila said this was a move taken "as an act of responsibility with society, shareholders, customers and employees given the current situation."
