ABB Robotics, Automation Solutions to Be Used at India Scooter Factory

ABB Ltd. said Thursday that its robotics and automation
solutions will be used at a factory belonging to Indian scooter
company Ola Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd.
The Swiss engineering company said its automation solutions will
be used in the scooter factory's key manufacturing process lines,
which include painting and welding, while ABB's robots will be used
for the battery and motor assembly lines.
The factory, which will have an initial annual capacity of 2
million units, is expected to be operational in the coming months,
ABB said. The company did not disclose the financial terms of the
contract.
