SRS Labs Appoints Chuck Cortright as Vice President of New Business Development

SRS Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ:SRSL), the industry leader in surround sound, audio, and voice technologies, announced today that Chuck Cortright, an accomplished technology executive with nearly 3 decades of industry experience, has been appointed as its Vice President of New Business Development.

During a career that has spanned nearly 30 years, Cortright has held several executive roles in technology companies including Divx Network, Inc. where he served as the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. During his previous tenure at SRS Labs, Cortright was involved in formulating the company's strategic partnership with Microsoft in 2000, which included a technology licensing agreement that led to the integration of SRS WOW® within Windows Media Player. To date, more than a billion Windows PCs have shipped around the globe, featuring SRS WOW.

Looking to build upon recent successes in the content delivery segment, including the newly announced partnership with Microsoft Silverlight, Cortright's mission as Vice President of New Business Development is to continue to broaden and secure SRS’ position as a leading provider of audio and voice technologies within the new streaming entertainment ecosystem.
