Item 8.01 Other Events

On June 16, 2008, MedCath and its physician partners at Bakersfield Heart Hospital, announced plans to add 72 inpatient beds and expand the hospital’s emergency department by 16 beds, which will allow the hospital to expand its current services. A copy of the press release is included as Exhibit 99.1.
