software and solutions, today announced Steve Winter has joined Marketo as Executive
Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations. Winter brings
with him more than two decades of experience at some of the largest
and most successful software organizations in the world, most
recently at SAP where he served the global head of its Customer
Line of Business Organization.
Bill Binch, who has led sales for
six years, will remain at Marketo and take a key new role leading
Marketo's expanding global sales activities for the small and
medium business markets.

During Winter's nine years at SAP, he held several global
leadership roles prior to heading its Customer LBO, including
leading its Emerging Solutions unit, as well as serving as the
Chief Operating Officer for SAP North America and executive vice
president of enterprise sales.
Prior to SAP, Winter was a founding partner of Sagebrook
Technology Partners, where he focused on investment portfolio
management, technology acquisitions and organizational
development. Earlier in his career, Winter spent 12 years at
PeopleSoft, where he held various executive sales management roles,
including vice president and general manager of the company's
Midwest region.
