(NASDAQ:LXRX) today announced the company will be making an oral presentation at the American Chemical Society National Meeting and Exposition in Boston, Massachusetts on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 2:50 p.m. Eastern Time. The presentation, based on the paper titled, "Modulation of peripheral serotonin levels by enzyme inhibitors for the potential treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)," will reveal the target of Lexicon's clinical candidate, LX1031, a potential treatment for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which is currently being investigated in a Phase 1b clinical trial in healthy volunteers.
