ERIE, Pa., Feb. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Five members of
Erie Insurance's IT Division will soon take on new responsibilities
having been promoted to vice presidents. The promotions are a
reflection of the increased strategic-level responsibilities of
these roles within the organization.
David Edgerton will take
on the role of vice president of Personal Lines Technology. He
joined Erie Insurance in 2014 as an IT Delivery Manager and was
promoted to IT Director in 2015. In his new role, he is responsible
for enabling ERIE's Personal Lines
and ERIE Family Life product and
service strategies. Edgerton holds a bachelor's degree in
civil engineering from Auburn
University. He earned his MBA from Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University. Prior to joining
Erie Insurance, he served in the United
States Navy from 1994 until 2014, where he attained the rank
of lieutenant commander.
Marko Jovanovich has been
named vice president of Infrastructure Administration. Jovanovich
joined ERIE in 2003 as Section
Manager in the IT Operations and Support Department. He was
promoted to an IT Director in the fall of 2014. Jovanovich is
responsible for all data center and print operations, server,
network and telephony administration and IT disaster recovery. He
also oversees enterprise systems management and enterprise
applications. Jovanovich earned a bachelor's degree in Management
from Gannon University in 1980. Prior
to joining Erie Insurance, he held a variety of IT positions at GE
Transportation.
Jamie Neumaier was named
vice president of Information Security. Neumaier was hired as
ERIE's Lead Information Security
Analyst in 2003. He was promoted to IT Director in 2014. Since that
time, he has led the company's information security program,
responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and
availability of Erie Insurance's information assets. Neumaier
earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics and his MBA at Penn
State Erie, The Behrend College. Prior
to joining ERIE, Jamie worked at
GE Transportation as a technical analyst.
Erica Shine was named vice
president of Strategic Initiatives. Shine joined Erie Insurance 13
years ago as a project management intern. She earned a bachelor's
degree in business and operations/supply chain management from Penn
State Erie, The Behrend College. Since
joining Erie Insurance, she has held a variety of roles within IT,
including project controls administrator, project manager and
section supervisor. Shine has served as IT Director for multiple
areas since 2014.
Tim Shine will take on the
role of vice president of Commercial Lines Technology, having
joined Erie Insurance in 1999 as an Actuarial Programmer. Shine
holds a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from
Gannon University. He worked as a
software developer for State Farm Insurance and GE Transportation
before joining Erie Insurance. He has held a number of positions
across ERIE's IT department,
serving as a systems analyst, release manager, section supervisor
and section manager before being promoted to IT Director in
2014.
