Hong Kong Dollar Pares Recent Gains Against Greenback

The Hong Kong dollar that strengthened against the US currency
in early Asian deals on Tuesday lost ground after reaching a high
of 7.7978 at 8:35 pm ET. At present, the Hong Kong dollar is worth
7.8005 against the greenback, compared to yesterday's closing value
of 7.7998. On the downside, 7.804 is seen as the next target level
for the Hong Kong dollar.
Today, Hong Kong will announce its seasonally adjusted
unemployment rate for April, with analysts expecting a slight
decline to 4.3 percent from 4.4 percent in March.
