Appointment of Didier Michaud-Daniel as independent member of the Supervisory Board replacing Jacques Garaïalde

At today's Shareholders' Meeting, Didier Michaud-Daniel was appointed as independent member of Tarkett's Supervisory Board for a term of four years.

The Supervisory Board is pleased to welcome Didier Michaud-Daniel and the expertise he will bring to the Board's work. The Board would also like to extend its sincere thanks to Jacques Garaïalde for his contribution to the Group's development since 2007.

Didier Michaud-Daniel will bring the Supervisory Board a new dimension through his recognized skills and experience, particularly in the executive management of a listed company.

Following his election and on the recommendation of the Nomination, Compensation and Governance Committee, the Supervisory Board has also appointed Didier Michaud-Daniel as a member of this Committee.

About Didier Michaud-Daniel

Didier Michaud-Daniel has been Managing Director of Bureau Veritas, a company listed on the SBF 120, since March 2012.

He began his career in 1981 at Otis, where he held several positions in the Sales and Operations Department. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in January 1998.

He was then successively Managing Director of Otis UK and Ireland, Chairman of Otis UK, Germany and Central Europe Region, becoming Chairman of Otis Elevator Company in May 2008.

Didier Michaud-Daniel is a graduate of the Poitiers École Supérieure de Commerce and of INSEAD business school. He is also a Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur.

Re-election of Françoise Leroy as independent member of the Supervisory Board, Chair of the Nominations, Compensations and Governance Committee and member of the Audit, Risks and Compliance Committee

At today's Shareholders' Meeting, Françoise Leroy was re-elected as a member of the Supervisory Board for a term of four years.

Following her re-election and on the recommendation of the Nomination, Compensation and Governance Committee, the Supervisory Board has also re-appointed Françoise as Chair of the Nominations, Compensations and Governance Committee and member of the Audit, Risks and Compliance Committee.

About Françoise Leroy 

Françoise Leroy has been a member of Tarkett's Supervisory Board since 2013.

Françoise Leroy began her career in 1975 at the General Secretary of the Union Industrielle d’Entreprise. She joined Elf Aquitaine in 1982, where she held various positions in financial management.

In 1998, she became the Director of Financial Communications, and then, in 2001, she became Director of Chemical Subsidiaries Operations in the finance department of Total following its merger with Elf Aquitaine. She has also been the secretary general of Total’s Chemical division since 2004 and a member of its Steering Committee since 2006. From January 2012 to June 2013, she was Director of Mergers and Acquisitions-Disposals.

Françoise is a graduate of the Reims École Supérieure de Commerce et d’Administration des Entreprises.

Appointment of Raphaël Bauer as member of the Management Board

After consultation with the Nomination, Compensation and Governance Committee, the Supervisory Board has appointed Raphaël Bauer, Group Chief Financial Officer, as a member of the Management Board, effective May 1, 2019.

The Board has also acknowledged the resignation of Sharon MacBeath. Both the Management Board and the Supervisory Board would like to extend their thanks to Sharon for the expertise she has brought to the Group in her position as member of the Management Board and Head of Human Resources and Communications. Raphaël Bauer will replace Sharon for the remainder of her term, that is until the re-appointment of the Management Board members on October 26, 2019.

About Raphaël Bauer

Raphaël Bauer has been Group Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Committee since February 2017.

He joined Tarkett in 2010 as Financial Controller for the EMEA division, and then the Asia-Pacific and Latin American regions.

He began his career as management controller with Valeo in 2002 and was Financial Manager at Rexam from 2007 to 2010.

Raphaël is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris.
