Safran SA said Monday that Pascal Bantegnie has been appointed chief financial officer, effective from the beginning of next year.

Mr. Bantegnie will replace Bernard Delpit as finance chief and executive-board member at the French defense company. Mr Delpit will aid his successor with the transition until the end of the year, with Mr. Bantegnie officially taking up the position on Jan. 1, 2022, Safran said.

Mr. Bantegnie jointed Safran in 2009, serving in investor relations and as CFO of the group's power business before becoming group treasurer in 2018, the company said.
