DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
The following table lists unplanned and planned production
outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The
information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining
sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.
Total Petrochemicals USA (TOT) Wednesday reported a brief period
of emissions as a result of a mechanical failure at sulfur recovery
unit 1 at its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery. Repairs were underway
to repair a valve, a filing to state environmental regulators
said.

of turnaround maintenance, a filing with Texas state environmental
regulators said.
Sunoco Inc. (SUN) Monday shut a wet gas compressor at its Marcus
Hook, Pa., refinery for planned maintenance. Emissions associated
with the work may occur intermittently until the compressor's
restart on Jan. 20, a filing to environmental regulators said. On
Jan. 6, a person familiar with operations at the plant said a crude
unit, a reformer and a gas plant would be shut for unplanned
work.
Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) Monday said a coke drum at its
45,000-barrel-a-day delayed coker unit was taken off line for
welding repairs. The shutdown will have minimal impact on
production.
Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) Monday said the smaller of two crude
distillation units in the West Plant section of its Corpus Christi,
Texas, oil refinery is operating at normal rates following a
weekend restart. The 40,000 barrel-a-day unit was shut on Jan. 3
for planned maintenance.
A gas oil hydrotreater at Valero's East Plant section of the
Corpus Christi refinery shut on Jan. 3 is also back at planned
rates after being restarted over the weekend, the company said on
