Item 8.01 Other Events.

Appointment of Chair of the Board

On January 31, 2024, the board of directors (the “Board”) of Ryerson Holding Corporation (the “Company”) appointed Stephen P. Larson as the Chair of the Board, effective as of January 31, 2024. Mr. Larson has served as a director of the Company since 2014. Prior to Mr. Larson’s appointment as Chair of the Board, the Company did not have a Chair of the Board.
