If you're not in office as much, why is your office phone?
March 18 2019 - 3:33PM
Verizon and Samsung Electronics America today introduced a new
joint mobile solution, Enhanced Dialer, designed to power today’s
mobile-first business. Enhanced Dialer leverages Verizon’s One Talk
and business services portfolio on the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+
phone. Instead, enterprises of all sizes can now seamlessly deploy
and manage a complete
mobile office experience for
their employees, whether they are in the office or on the go.
The new solution makes the Samsung mobile phone interface
resemble a traditional office desk phone, making it easy for users
to deploy features like multi-line calling, executive-assistant
line sharing, call transferring and holding and more. The
functionality is all built into the Samsung Galaxy display dialer,
for a simple, easy-to-use mobile experience.
“Businesses of all sizes are rapidly moving to mobile-first
solutions, and by offering Verizon One Talk - and other Verizon
business solutions – over Samsung devices, we can make our
customers more productive and more empowered than ever before,”
said Shawn Hakl, SVP Business Products for Verizon. “Enhanced
Dialer is the most advanced One Talk interface that enables
employees to use their smartphones to deploy all many of the
business services they are used to, even when they are not in the
office. At the end of the day, this means businesses can build
out their operations using a wireless-first solution, helping their
employees to be more productive, and also saving money.”
“Enterprises are in the midst of an unprecedented level of
change, as new mega trends such as 5G and AI challenge them to
reconsider their business models,” said Taher Behbehani, SVP and
General Manager of Samsung for Business, Samsung Electronics
America. “Premium mobile devices, specifically smartphones
and tablets, are more powerful than ever and are at the center of
this transformation. Our new offering with Verizon delivers the
most comprehensive mobile office solution for small businesses and
enterprises today, further enhancing Verizon One Talk’s user
experience.”
In addition to enabling employees to access all the call
features they are used to on an office desk phone, Samsung DeX
enables PC-like access to the phone features via an external
display.
Enhanced Dialer is being displayed at Booth 1219 at Enterprise
Connect starting today. Learn more information about the Enhanced
Dialer.
