Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On March 14, 2018, John Cody Bissett, the Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Basic Energy Services, Inc. (the “Company”), provided notice of his resignation from the Company, effective April 13, 2018, to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Bissett’s resignation did not involve any disagreement between him and the Company on any matter related to the Company’s operations, policies, practices or otherwise. Upon Mr. Bissett’s departure, Alan Krenek, the Company’s Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary will assume the additional role of principal accounting officer.
