Engility to deliver healthcare informatics to the U.S. Air Force

Six new task orders will provide medical coding at 14 Air Force bases

Engility Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:EGL) won $63 million in task orders with the U.S. Air Force Medical Service. Working with their Medical Coding Program Office, Engility will deliver healthcare informatics, medical coding, training and compliance expertise at 14 Air Force bases.

Medical coding provides enhanced value to the patient and supports the AFMS mission by playing an integral role in improving workload, reimbursement, provider currency, decision support, population health, disability services and more. Engility personnel will support all AFMS medical treatment facilities around the country. Awarded in September, these new task orders for Engility expand the company’s footprint in military health services. The company currently evaluates traumatic brain injury and psychological health efforts for the Military Health System, works with the Defense Health Agency on medical trials and is involved in many efforts to deliver benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs. The work has a one-year base and four option years.
