Kohl’s Department Stores Donates $25,000 to the American Red Cross for Tornado Relief Efforts in Oklahoma and Kansas

Kohl’s Department Stores (NYSE:KSS) announced a $25,000 cash
donation in response to the recent tornadoes and severe weather
that caused widespread damage throughout Oklahoma and Kansas.
Kohl’s is providing this donation to the American Red Cross which
is delivering much-needed emergency assistance throughout the
affected areas.
In addition to a financial contribution, Kohl’s is encouraging
its associates to volunteer in support of cleanup efforts through
its A-Team associate volunteer program. In recognition of volunteer
hours, Kohl’s will donate corporate grants to the nonprofit
organizations being supported by Kohl’s associates.
“Thousands of families in the Oklahoma and Kansas communities we
serve were impacted by destructive tornadoes and severe weather,”
said Julie Gardner, Kohl’s executive vice president and chief
marketing officer. “During this difficult time, we hope our
financial assistance and volunteer service brings some relief to
those affected throughout the area.”
Year-round, Kohl’s A-Team volunteers support a range of local
nonprofit organizations. Since 2001, the volunteer efforts of more
than 248,000 Kohl’s associates have resulted in the donation of
more than $21 million to local nonprofit organizations. The A-Team
