Business Wire
Panini announced today that Frost Bank, one of the nations leading
financial institutions, has selected the Panini Vision X check
scanner for branch image capture. The Vision X allows Frost Bank to
increase operational efficiency by automating check processing in
its branches by capturing check images at the teller. Frost Bank
will extend their benefits of branch capture by leveraging the
multi-function capabilities and architecture of the Panini Vision
X. Frost will deploy Paninis Advanced Graphic Printing (AGP)
option to enable receipt printing for teller deposit transactions
within the same physical Vision X unit. The bank is also taking
advantage of Paninis new ultrasonic double document detection
technology designed to enable highly effective and accurate
detection of more than one item in the document track, regardless
of document thickness or colors. Ultrasonic technology is able to
accurately discern true double feed conditions, resulting in a
smoother workflow with fewer interruptions, higher user
satisfaction, and lower cost of operation. By using the
multi-function options and advanced technology features designed
into Paninis Vision X capture solution, Frost Bank is able to
reduce its overall capital expenditure and space requirements at
the teller. We are very impressed with the ability of the Panini
Vision X to serve as a high quality check scanner for branch image
capture and also print customer receipts in one consolidated
device, says David Rathke, Senior Vice President, Frost Bank. The
operational benefits of ultrasonic double document detection
technology were also instrumental in our decision to implement the
Panini Vision X. Were finding that users of Panini technology
are thrilled with the opportunity to reduce space and capital
investment requirements by consolidating multiple payment
processing functionalities into one device, adds Doug Roberts,
President, Panini North America. Frost Bank understands these
benefits and has positioned themselves for competitive advantage as
they utilize the Panini Vision X to enable their branches for image
exchange. Panini is a global leader in providing payment
technology innovation. The companys dominant market share position
was recently affirmed by Celent, a leading industry consulting
firm, in their 2008 RDC report, which named Panini the overall
leader in check scanner shipments for the third consecutive year
based on CY 2007 results. Paninis scalable check capture platform
