EDP Renewables SA (EDRVY), through its fully owned subsidiary EDP Renewables North America LLC, and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) have executed two 15-year power purchase agreements for 125 megawatts that will bring the Timber Road IV Wind Farm to Ohio's Paulding County.

The companies said in a release that the wind farm is expected to be operational in 2019 and will produce enough clean electricity to annually power more than 36,000 average Ohio homes.

Construction of the wind farm, expected to begin in the next couple of months, is expected to bring 200 full-time equivalent jobs and seven full-time positions during operations. The new wind farm is seen generating about $1.1 million each year in annual property tax revenue.

The agreements bring Microsoft's directly purchased renewable energy portfolio to nearly 1.4 gigawatts. The wind farm is Microsoft's fifth project in the region.
