Google on Monday said it was introducing the latest version of its Google Glass product, Glass Enterprise Edition 2, and said it incorporated feedback from customers to make improvements to the product.

The Alphabet Inc. (GOOG) company said in a blog post the Glass Enterprise Edition 2 uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR1 platform, and has a more powerful central processing unit and new artificial intelligence. The new glasses also feature an improved camera, a USB-C port for quicker charging and increased overall battery life.

Google said it worked with Smith Optics to create safety frames that are appropriate to different work environments.

The new glasses use the Android operating system, allowing for easier integration of services and interfaces, the company said. The product is WiFi and Bluetooth compatible.

Workers can use the glasses to get hands-free access to information, tools, instructions and work lists to help them on the job. "Our enterprise customers have reported faster production times, improved quality, and reduced costs after using Glass," the company said.
