HALIFAX,
NS, May 14, 2024 /CNW/ - On June 20, 2023, a panel of the Canadian Investment
Regulatory Organization (CIRO) held a hearing pursuant to the
Mutual Fund Dealer Rules and accepted a settlement agreement, with
sanctions, between Enforcement Staff and Sean Joseph Howes.
Sean Howes admitted that he
altered and used to process transactions 35 account forms in
respect of 20 clients, by altering information on the account forms
without having the client initial the alterations.
Pursuant to the settlement agreement, Sean Howes agreed to a fine of $20,000 and costs in the amount of $2,500.

conducted business in the Halifax, Nova
Scotia area.
