CORRECTION - The information relating to changes in the interests of Directors
and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities as announced by Venture
Production plc on 30 August 2007 also falls to be disclosed under Rule 8.1 of
the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers. The full announcement is repeated below:


Venture Production plc (the "Company")

Director/PDMR Shareholdings and Disclosure under Rule 8.1 of the City Code on
Takeovers and Mergers

The Company was notified on 30 August 2007 of the following changes in the
interests of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities 
("PDMRs").

The following Ordinary shares of 0.4p each in the Company ("Shares") were
purchased under the Venture Production plc Share Incentive Plan on 30 August
2007 on the London Stock Exchange.  Partnership Shares were purchased by each
Director and PDMR at 725 pence per Share, Matching Shares were acquired at nil
cost pursuant to the Share Incentive Plan and will be held in Trust.
