Venture Production plc (the "Company" or "Venture")

Director/PDMR Shareholdings

The Company was notified on 27 June 2007 of the following changes in the
interests of a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities ("PDMR") in the
Ordinary Shares of 0.4p each of the Company (the "Shares").

Notification under DR 3.1.4(R)(1)(a):

On 26 June 2007 Mrs SC Roger, the spouse of Mr Jonathan Roger, sold 36,000
Shares at the following prices:

20,000 at 729.2 pence per Share
10,000 at 726.63 pence per Share
6,000 at 725.44 pence per Share

representing 0.026 % of the issued share capital of the Company.

Following this transaction, Mr Roger retains an interest in 154,718 Shares (of
which 45,000 are held in the name of Mrs SC Roger) representing 0.114 % of the
issued share capital of the Company and 5,873 Shares held in the name of Share
Nominees Limited representing 0.004 % of the issued share capital.
