Director/PDMR Shareholdings

The Company was notified on 8th January 2007 of the following changes in the
interests of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities
("PDMRs").

The following Ordinary shares of 0.4p each in the Company ("Share" or "Shares")
were purchased under the Venture Production plc Share Incentive Plan on
8th January 2007 on the London Stock Exchange. Partnership Shares were purchased
by each Director and PDMR at 793.75p per Share, Matching Shares were acquired at
nil cost pursuant to the Share Incentive Plan and will be held in Trust.
