Venture Production plc (the "Company" or "Venture")

Director/PDMR Shareholdings


The Company was notified today of the following changes in the interests of
Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities ("PDMR") in the Ordinary Shares
of 0.4p each of the Company (the "Shares").

Notification under DR 3.1.4(R)(1)(a):

On 18 October 2006 Mr Simon Wisker, Oil Assets Manager, sold 4,800 Shares,
representing 0.004% of the issued share capital of the Company, at a price of
802.5p per share. On the same day he transferred 2,500 Shares to Mrs K Wisker at
no cost. In a separate transaction, on 18 October 2006 Mr Wisker exercised
options over 50,000 Shares at a price of 0.7173p, representing 0.038% of the
issued share capital of the Company, which were subsequently sold at a price of
800p per share. Following these transactions Mr Wisker retains an interest in
6,328 Venture Shares, representing 0.005% of the issued share capital of the
Company.
