Venture Production plc (the "Company" or "Venture")

Director/PDMR Shareholdings


The Company was notified on 2 October 2006 of the following changes in the
interests of Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities ("PDMR") in the
Ordinary Shares of 0.4p each of the Company (the "Shares").


Notification under DR 3.1.4(R)(1)(a):


On 11 September 2006 Mr Michael Travis, Operations Manager, received 25,000
Shares, representing 0.02% of the issued share capital of the Company, at nil
cost from Mrs Susan Travis. On 2 October 2006 Mr Travis exercised options over
63,300 Shares, representing 0.05% of the issued share capital of the Company, at
a price of 84.4p per share and sold 15,000 Shares, representing 0.01% of the
issued share capital of the Company, at a price of 745p per share. Following
these transactions, Mr Travis retains an interest in 79,268 Venture Shares and
Mrs Travis retains an interest in 2,000 Shares, representing 0.06% and 0.00%
respectively of the issued share capital of the Company.
