Director/PDMR Shareholdings

The Company was notified on 9 June 2006 of the following changes in the
interests of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities
("PDMRs").

The following Ordinary shares of 0.4p each in the Company ("Share" or "Shares")
were purchased under the Venture Production plc Share Incentive Plan on 9 June
2006 on the London Stock Exchange. Partnership Shares were purchased by each
Director and PDMR at 668.1p per Share, Matching Shares were acquired at nil cost
pursuant to the Share Incentive Plan and will be held in Trust.
