NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT
The Board of Tex Holdings plc is delighted to announce the
appointment of Mr Chris Gray as a Non-Executive Director of the
Company with effect from 5th September 2017.
Aged 73, Chris Gray has spent more than 45 years in the
International Transportation, Ports and Shipping industry.
Having initially set up a transport company specialising in road
transportation between the UK and Europe he progressed to
directorships within Contship UK Ltd and Contship Containerlines
Limited eventually leaving in early 1998 to join Hutchison Ports UK
Ltd where he was appointed Chief Executive with responsibility for
the ports of Felixstowe, Thamesport and Harwich. In early 2002
Chris was appointed as Chief Executive for Hutchison Ports Bahamas
based in Freeport, Grand Bahama where he served until 2009.
In late 2010 Chris was appointed as Executive Chairman of the
Noatum Ports Group of companies, formerly known as Dragados, a
major Spanish ports, shipping and transportation group which was
acquired by JP Morgan Infrastructure Fund (IIF) from Spanish
construction group ACS on behalf of institutional investors.
Chris is a former Chairman of the UK Major Ports Group, a former
board member of the Harwich Haven Authority (1998-2007) and a
former Council member of the CBI Eastern Region and Invest East of
England. Chris also served as a board member of the Grand Bahama
Island Tourism Board from 2002-2009.
