Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the Block Listing of
4,000,000 Ordinary Shares of 25p each fully paid, ranking pari passu with the
existing ordinary shares, save that they will not rank for the 1998 interim
dividend, expected to be paid on 2 November 1998, to the Official List.

These shares will be issued upon the exercise of share options pursuant to the
Company's Savings Related Share Option Scheme.
