DRINGS OF BATH PLC - NOTIFIABLE INTEREST

Drings of Bath Plc announces that Union Pension Trustees Limited on the
19/9/97 sold 250,000 (0.33%) ordinary shares at a price of 2.5p per share and
sold a further 3,000,000 (3.91%) ordinary shares at a price of 2.25p per share
on the 26/9/97.

In addition Union Pensions Trustees Limited today disposed of a further
1,000,000 (1.30%) ordinary shares at 2.5p each to Mr John Turigliatto.

Accordingly Union Pension Trustees Limited and Mr Turigliatto's interest in
the share capital is 7,862,500 (10.24%) and 3,550,000 (4.63%) respectively.

All shares and holdings above refer to the Company s issued ordinary share
capital of 0.2p per share.
