Contract Award
The Board of Digital Barriers plc (AIM: DGB) (the "Board"), the
specialist provider of advanced surveillance technologies to the
security and defence sectors, is pleased to announce the award of a
contract by an existing UK-based customer.
The contract, signed on 28 March 2013 and valued at
approximately GBP2.0 million (most of which is now in backlog to be
recognised in the financial year ending March 2014), is for the
provision of an integrated technology solution that includes the
Group's TVI video products, ThruVision passive screening products
and OmniPerception facial recognition products. The solution will
support security operations in remote and hostile overseas
locations.
The contract, to be fulfilled over the coming weeks, is expected
to lead to ongoing additional product sales.
Zak Doffman, Group Development Director of Digital Barriers
commented:
"I am particularly delighted by the award of this contract with
an important UK customer, which integrates three of our core
technologies. This is further validation of Digital Barriers'
strategy, serving to highlight our credentials both at home and
internationally as a provider of world-class advanced surveillance
products, as well as illustrating the potential to integrate our
technologies to provide genuinely disruptive solutions."
