Purchase of Shares by Directors and Substantial Shareholders

BEAUFORT GROUP PLC announces that following shareholder approval of the
Underwritten Open Offer at the Extraordinary General Meeting ("EGM") held on 2
August 2001, that the changes to Directors' shareholdings and substantial
shareholders' shareholdings are as follows:

Wolfond is a director, has subscribed for 4,166,667 Ordinary Shares under the
Open Offer.


*Andrew Moore is Chairman of and interested in approximately 2 per cent. of
the issued share capital of 10 Group plc. 10i Limited is a subsidiary of 10
Group plc.
