The Board notes the recent press comment concerning the application of DARAS
technology to the testing of genetically modified foods.  It would like to
make clear that Tepnel Life Sciences PLC is a DNA Analysis company with a
range of technologies for the purification, amplification and detection of
DNA.

DARAS offers an automated method for the detection and analysis of specific
DNA products in the clinical diagnostics, veterinary and food testing markets.

As part of the DARAS market development programme the system has been used at
a range of reference sites for the detection of DNA sequences derived from
clinical and food samples.
