     Tepnel Life Sciences ('Tepnel') Consolidates its Sales Activities

Manchester, UK. 27 June 2002...Tepnel Life Sciences PLC (AIM: TED) announces
today that it has undertaken an internal reorganisation to consolidate the
handling of the global sales of its T1000 Plasmid Purification System and
Nucleon(TM) DNA purification kits. This change reflects the success that the
Company has achieved in appointing distributors to handle these products
globally. Distributors have been appointed in key markets such as Japan, China,
Korea, France and Denmark, while negotiations with potential distributors in
North America and Germany are on-going.

"These distributor deals allied to Tepnel's own direct sales efforts will allow
our newly formed sales team to access over 85% of the available world market for
our most important products," said Ben Matzilevich, Tepnel's Chief Executive
Officer. "As part of this reorganisation I regret to announce the resignation of
Mike Billingham, Commercial Director, who has left the Company to pursue other
business interests."
