HOLDING IN COMPANY

The Company was informed on 18 July 2001 by The Throgmorton Trust PLC ("TTT")
that, following the acquisition, on 10 July 2001, of 11,087,602 ordinary
shares of 20p each in the Company ("Shares") as part of the Company's recent
placing of Shares, TTT has an interest in 11,087,602 Shares, representing
11.84% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.

These Shares are regiastered in the name of HSBC Global Custody Nominee (UK)
Ltd a/c 811664.
