The Board of Tepnel Life Sciences plc ("the Company") announces that on 22
November 2000 the following Directors were, for nil consideration, granted
options to subscribe for ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company under the
Company's 1998 Unapproved Executive Share Option Scheme:

specified objective conditions (including performance targets) to be satisfied

the Company's Approved Executive Share Option Scheme were granted, under the
same terms, to other employees of the Company, none of whom are Directors.
