The Company received notification on 12 July 2005 that on 12 July 2005 OrbiMed
Capital LLC ("OrbiMed"), through its  investment management discretion over the
securities owned by Finsbury Emerging Biotechnology Trust plc (formerly 
Finsbury Life Sciences Investment Trust plc) sold 3,120,696 ordinary shares of
1p each in the Company ("Ordinary  Shares").  OrbiMed also has investment
management discretion over the securities owned by Finsbury Worldwide 
Pharmaceutical Trust plc, which is a registered owner of 37,000,000 Ordinary
Shares.  OrbiMed are now therefore  interested in 47,000,000 Ordinary Shares,
representing approximately 22.07 per cent of the issued share capital of the 
Company.
