                       BOARD CHANGE

ScS  Upholstery  plc, the fully listed furniture  retailer,
announces  that Mr Neville Peppiatt, an executive director,
will  be retiring from the Board with effect from 31  March
2000.

Over  the next eight months the Board will ensure, together
with  Mr  Peppiatt, a smooth hand-over  of  his  duties  to
existing members of the senior management team

ScS  Chairman, Mr Tony McCann said "Neville joined  ScS  in
1988  and  has  devoted enormous effort and energy  to  the
Groups success.  We are very grateful for his contribution
to  the  Groups development and we wish him  well  in  his
retirement."
