Senior Acquires Outright Control of Indian Joint Venture
Senior Engineering Group plc is pleased to announce that it
has conditionally agreed to acquire the outstanding minority
shares in its joint venture with Inalsa Ltd., a New Delhi
based industrial group. Senior has agreed to acquire the
remaining 45 percent equity share capital of Inalsa Flexonics
Ltd. for a total consideration of approximately #650,000,
subject to regulatory approval, bringing its total share to
100 percent. The business will initially continue to trade as
Inalsa Flexonics.
Inalsa Flexonics Ltd. manufactures a range of flexible metal
hoses, hose assemblies, bellows and expansion joints, together
with rubber and PTFE hose assemblies. The products are widely
and increasingly used by the automotive, industrial, chemical
and process industries in India.
Commenting on the agreement, Andrew Parrish, Senior's Group
Chief Executive said: "Inalsa Flexonics continues to be an
excellent platform within the Indian sub-continent for our
fast growing Flexonics Division, both in strategic and product
terms. We intend to accelerate Inalsa Flexonics' development
and undertake significant additional investment later in 1998.
Our regional manufacturing base in India is providing the
Group with attractive opportunities to develop sales in other
Asian markets."
