In accordance with the requirements of the London Stock Exchange Listing Rule
9.6.14, Prospect Japan Fund Limited announces that Mr Chris Sherwell, a
non-executive director, has informed the company that he joined the Board of The
King Street Fund PCC Limited which was admitted to the Official List of the CISX
on 11 October 2006.

Since July 2005, Mr Sherwell has also joined the Boards of the following listed
companies:

   *Hermes Commodities Investment Fund, admitted to the CISX on 17 November
    2005
   *Goldman Sachs Dynamic Opportunities Limited, admitted to the LSE on 27
    July 2006
   *Henderson Global Property Companies Limited, admitted to the LSE on 1
    August 2006

and has resigned from the Board of GAM Diversity III Inc, also listed on the
LSE, with effect from 26 July 2006.
