                         Re: Change in valuation policy

The Directors advise that with immediate effect the valuation of financial
assets held by the Company will be on a bid basis. The change in valuation
methodology has been introduced to bring the Company's valuation policy in line
with the recommendations of the Association of Investment Trust Companies.
