Equatorial Palm Oil plc (AIM: PAL), the AIM listed and Liberia focussed sustainable palm oil developer, today announces that Shankar Varadharajan has resigned from the Board of EPO with immediate effect.

Mr Varadharajan was Biopalm Energy Limited's ("BEL") representative on the Board of EPO. Mr Varadharajan's resignation follows the announcement dated 7 November 2013 whereby Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad ("KLK") entered into various arrangements with BEL, including the proposed acquisition of BEL's 50.0 percent shareholding in Liberian Palm Developments ("LPD") and BEL's 20.1 per cent. interest in the issued ordinary share capital of EPO.
