Oxford Technology 3 VCT has invested #150,000 in The Illuminated Flexible
Membrane (IFM) Company International Ltd. #150,000 was invested in return for
30,000 ordinary shares, representing 16.67% of the equity.


The IFM Company was formed in July 2001. It exists to commercialise a new
concept in display technology that improves visibility of displays (from bus
signs through to computer screens) in all lighting conditions and from all
angles. The technology consists of a three layer panel - a layer that emits
light, a coloured filter that can both reflect incoming light and transmit light
from the light-emitting layer and a liquid crystal layer that can be switched
quickly to transmit or block light, when it appears black. The displays can be
made with lightweight, flexible polymers and so can be moulded to suit many
applications.
