CHANGE OF NAME TO SOLVERA PLC

The Directors of OMI International plc, the UK software, design
and engineering solutions group, announce that at an
Extraordinary General Meeting held earlier today, shareholders
passed a special resolution approving the change of the
Company's name to Solvera plc.

Individual subsidiaries within the Group will continue to trade
under their existing names and identities, as indicated in the
interim results announcement on 2 December 1997.
