On 6 January 1998 Mr J F Watkins, a Director of the Company, accepted the grant
to him by the Company of an option to subscribe for 200,000 5p ordinary shares
in the Company at a subscription price of 15.5p per share in accordance with the
subject to the rules of the Company's 1994 Executive Share Option Scheme.
