                 NETWORK TECHNOLOGY APPOINTS FINANCE DIRECTOR

Network Technology PLC, the network connectivity specialist, announces the
appointment of Mr. Paul Cottrell as finance director replacing Ms. Lorraine
Richards who has left the company.

Aged 41 years, Mr. Cottrell has a strong commercial background.  Prior to
joining Network Technology, he was finance director of Stiles Harold Williams,
a subsidiary of Alliance & Leicester Building Society, where he spent 6 years.
Before that he held a variety of financial positions with Halifax Estate
Agents, The Pillsbury Company (now part of Grand Metropolitan) and Savory &
Moore.  During his career, his responsibilities have included financial
management (including the development and implementation of information
systems), strategic planning, restructuring programmes and other management
roles.

Klaus Bollmann, chief executive of Network Technology, commented: "Paul will
be a valuable member of the management team, given his experience and the
continued growth we are anticipating".
